Nettle Stir Fry

An easy way to cook wild nettle.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 8 cups nettle Harvest nettle at your own risk. We recommend that you use a field guide, experienced naturalist or guide, gloves, and clippers. Harvest about 8 cups. Using gloves and tongs, wash nettle, then chop into 1 inch pieces.

Instructions
 

  • In a medium or large sauté pan, heat 2 teaspoons of olive oil.
    Add onion and sauté until translucent, 4-5 minutes.
    Add garlic. Sauté 1 more minute.
    Add stinging nettle and a sprinkle of salt.
    Cook until wilted, about 5 more minutes. Enjoy!
